FAQ's
When do I get to see my pictures?
Your pictures will be done usually within two weeks of your session, but never more than 30 days.
Who will be at the shoot?
Besides me and usually my assistant/husband, feel free to bring someone who makes you feel comfortable, then again, some people do better without an audience, and that is fine too! Do what is best for you!
What is the weather is bad?
I will always try to keep an eye on the weather prior to the shoot. If for any reason we feel the shoot needs rescheduled, we will be in contact with you to make arrangements that is convenient for the both of us.
When is the best time to get Senior Portraits taken?
Typically the summer/fall of your senior year is best. Fall is beautiful but can be tricky with schedules due to picture deadlines, sports, and other scheduling restraints. During the summer months, I will focus on seniors usually on Tuesdays-Thursdays and save the other days for family sessions. The best outdoor lighting is going to be first thing in the morning, or later in the evening (we will work with you on what's best).
Where do I change my outfit?
A lot of seniors will change outside or in their vehicles on location, but if that thought makes you uncomfortable, I have my studio available to change.
Why should I get my hair and make-up done?
We strongly urge you to get your hair and make-up done professionally for great results. Make-up has a tendency to photograph lighter and hair can sometimes go flat. You may want to consider investing in this service prior to you session.
What should I wear?
Whatever best expresses who you are. Typically, it is best to try and avoid bold stripes, "loud" prints, advertising "messages", over-sized clothing, or clothes that washes you out. With groups, you want to avoid conflicting patterns/colors. Approximately a week before your session, I will get a hold of you and request a photo of what your senior/family/newborn plan to wear, so I can plan locations. As for newborns, I have an abundance of wraps and bows to choose from.
